About the book
The author has written her own innermost feelings and experiences of her personal journey through the devastating loss of her son, Brendon, in a car accident.
In her book, she describes the agonies and fears that she went through to get to a point of acceptance and to be able to move on with her life.
This book will be of great benefit to anyone who has gone through a similar experience or who has lost a child through other circumstances.
In sharing my story of loss and healing I've recorded my most intense feelings of loss and the importance of allowing oneself to feel those feelings and not to bottle them up or try to hide them from people who expect a grieving family to be "over it" when they leave the church after the funeral service.
Grieving the loss of a child is extremely complex and dealing with the various stages one endures in no particular order is imperative for our mental as well as physical health.
So full of life was Brendon, so talented, quiet, thoughtful and full of ideas. Interested in everything going on around him and eager to learn. A great loss to his family, he was cut down before reaching his full potential.
I have to believe there was a reason for this tragedy. A reason which one day will be revealed to us. In the meantime I feel our loss was heaven's gain!
